Canadians have gone virtually and “socially distanced” creative to mark the 153rd Canada Day birthday this year, by keeping no more than 50 people gatherings and observing social distancing in the “new” true Canadian way. St Albert – City of St Albert Albert has partnered with municipalities around the Edmonton Metropolitan Region to include in their festivities free one-time viewing online concert series from 6 to 8 p.m., with musical performances from George Canyon, Dan Davidson, Nuela Charles, River Poets and Kym Simon. There will also be a streaming montage of the best fireworks displays from previous national Canada Day celebrations.

West Vancouver Rooftop Performances – Immerse into the sounds of West Vancouver’s Canada Day celebrations in the comfort of your home. Several rooftop performances are scheduled to take place in Ambleside, Dundarave and the Horseshoe Bay area for July 1 and you’ll be able to hear the bands from your home though you won’t be able to see them. At 7 p.m., after the performances wrap, residents are invited to stand in their yards or balconies to join a community-wide singalong of O Canada, after cheering healthcare workers.
No doubt it has been a year of surprises and how we celebrate this day is no doubt with gratitude and charity. As True Canadians we bounce back and celebrate all that we have and give thanks to all that is in store for us.
